Judy Clarkson

Judy ClarksonJudy Clarkson (B.Bus (Accountancy), ACA) is an Australian Chartered Accountant with significant experience in financial and management accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy and is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Judy has been involved in the accounting and management of SME’s for over 25 years and also has substantial international experience.

After working for an international accounting firm in Brisbane, Australia and in Papua New Guinea, Judy moved to commercial accounting in London before returning to Australia. Judy then joined a small retail pharmacy business as CFO, this business grew into the most successful retail pharmacy group in Australia. Judy was heavily involved in supplier negotiation, TGA approval processes and management of professional relationships. Judy then moved to New Zealand as Finance Director of a New Zealand IT consultancy practice, where she was responsible for significant streamlining and improvement in processes allowing ease of business practices between the practice and overseas clients. This also provided Judy with significant experience in accounting for consulting time, management of rechargeable expenses and international client liaison. In 2006 Judy moved to Shanghai in China working as Project Director for Standard Chartered Bank, specialising in improving financial systems and setting up regulatory reporting processes and systems. On Judy’s return from China she joined Five Corners in 2011 as the Financial Controller.

Judy’s key responsibilities at Five Corners are to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the internal affairs of the company and well as working with clients to ensure the financial processes are solid. With Judy’s extensive experience in budget development, Five Corners is able to support clients in mapping out their clinical study costs prior to study execution and monitor expenditure throughout the duration of their studies.
